Donate excess home grown produce to a food pantry through this new program

Grow A Row

In an effort to boost donations to our local food pantries we are introducing the

Grow a Row Program.

All of the produce harvested from the county’s community gardens is donated to the food pantries, but we would like to take it to the next level. Here’s how it works:

  • If you have your own garden we’re asking that you donate a “row” of whatever you grow (fruits or vegetables) to the food pantries
  • Call or email us with your name, address, phone number, and email address with your pledge of a row from your garden

That’s it! It’s that simple. When you are ready to harvest your produce you can bring it to a local food pantry yourself if you live near one, or you can bring it to our office. We will be the main collection location and distribute the produce to the pantries.

This is great way to help our neighbors and friends in Hamilton County who are going through some hard times since ALL of the food donated stays in Hamilton County.
