Wild Edibles Identification Walk

When: August 23rd, 12noon - 4:00pm

Where: Byron Park Pavilion, Indian Lake NY

Registration Fee: $15.00, due upon arrival at the workshop. Spots are limited so please call Cornell Cooperative Extension Hamilton County, 518-548-6191, to register and secure a spot.

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Indian Lake Public Library on a Wild Edibles Identification walk, which is being presented by Pat Banker from Cornell Cooperative Extension Franklin County. Learn how to identify and use wild edibles, make flour from flowers, and so much more. This interactive workshop will begin at 12 noon and end at 4:00 pm on August the 23rd.Participants will meet at the Byron Park Pavilion (2834 Route 30, Indian, NY) at noon and will traverse the Woodline and nearby trails with Pat to locate wild edibles.Pat will also bring examples of edibles that may not be readily available to show participants. Following the wild edible identification walk there will be a presentation.

The workshop is limited to 20 participants.Due to the content of the workshop, the workshop is best suited for participants ages 12 or older. There is a $15 registration fee to attend. Please contact Cornell Cooperative Extension, 518-548-6191 to register for the event. Walk-ins are welcomed as long as there are open spots available.
